Recently I've seen some of our local gamers creating lists for new armies they're playing and its interesting to see how much anti-tank they think is enough and what the value of various anti-tank units is. Some people think that Ravagers for example should be a pretty darn reliable anti tank solution. So in response I've done a bit of math-hammer, pitting some anti-tank weapons vs the ubiquitous and humble space marine rhino.

Which 40k character do you play like?
As an amusing substitute for writing a new article, I've devised a quiz that should hopefully give you all a little bit of insight into what manner of 40k player you are. I apologise in advance for spelling and grammar errors, the quiz maker doesn't give you all that much opportunity to proofread what you've done. Have a go and post your results.

Fraxis Primaris
I found this just now on my computer. I'd written it almost 4 years ago now after a 2v1 battle with Ben against John (the staff guy from yesteryear). It's probably not very good and it could be much more descriptive but its a story narrative of the battle we fought. Well part of the battle at least. Enjoy!
[21 seconds until impact] read the HUD. The cabin, if it could be called that, shook violently as the drop pod tore through the final few kilometres of atmosphere. Vipus had always felt the interior to be more akin to that of a coffin and on any one drop it could well prove to be his own. Streams of data scrolled past his eyes, informing him on the planet’s ‘new’ climate, enemy classifications and their strength, weapon readouts and the status on other units already deployed to the battle. Vipus let the text wash over him, absorbing it as it went with his eidetic memory, he checked the runes representing his fellow battle brothers; all were primed and ready for war.

Chaos Warhound Titan - WIP
Worked a lot more on the titan over the last couple of days. Painted the titan crewman and techpriest so was able to glue the pieces together at last! Also finished most of the brass trimming and black washing the armour plating. Best of all I finished the plasma cannon - which looks super badass even if I do say so myself.
So here's more pics! :D
The month of April was a little slow for news on the blog-o-matic it seems, hopefully May will see lots of cool stuff. So to kick us off I'll start with my Titan WIP.
Not much done yet though unfortunately. Jason kindly helped me pin and then airbrush the necessary pieces but before it can be put together and glued I need to paint the interior.
Since the photos were taken all of the pieces have been black washed to give a much more ancient, oily and dirty feel to them.
My apologies for the poor photos of the interior - taken on my phone and didn't realize how close in they would look on the pc (looked fine on the phone screen!)
